Founded close to Howard University in 1873, LeDroit Park is one of D.C.’s oldest suburban neighborhoods. These attractive properties were designed in a variety of styles, taking inspiration from Gothic cottages and Italian villas. Crispus Attucks Park is a hidden greenspace in Bloomingdale known as the neighborhood’s secret garden. Covering just over an acre, Crispus Attucks Park’s beautiful landscaping includes grass lawns, mature trees, and colorful flowers. The park is a great source of pride for Bloomingdale residents, being wholly maintained by a community group mostly made up of those who live in the neighborhood.
